Turn off the music in Modern Warfare 2 (MW2)

To remove the annoying background music in Modern Warfare 2 aka MW2, aka COD6, Call of duty 6
Goto C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\miles or wherever you have steam.
and rename mssmp3.asi to mssmp3.bak or whatever.
Voila! Music is gone.

Here is the ultimate short version on why downloading on Usenet rules.
You might remember good Usenet also known as NNTP (Network News Transfer Protocol) servers that came with your ISP before (probably not anymore) I downloaded my first Pamela Andersson picture from Usenet like 1996, good times! However I didn’t think much about Usenet back then, I even had Outlook Express a while as Usenet reader!
There was a lot of SPAM on Usenet already back then and I stopped using Usenet (nntp) because back then it sucked, I thought.
After that I started using Xenosite ( I think that was the name, I don’t recall anymore, please write a comment if you remember the name ). However, it was a forum where computers around the world were hacked to store FTP sites with the owner unaware.
After a while these sites also became obsolete then Direct Connect (DC) ruled internet for a while. Then torrents came along and there are a lot of trackers, both public and private. All was well until a lot of trackers closed because of new laws and I began to search alternatives.

“Apple has decided that every restore of the device would be verified as being valid and safe by Apple itself.” which means that you might never be able to downgrade your iPhone from lets say 3.1 to 3.0 (they can revoke old firmware and force you restore to the current firmware) if you don’t take caution.
